Super Bowl: Place your bets
« on: January 28, 2002, 08:28:35 AM »
If I was a betting man, I'd give the points and take the Rams.

I was surprised at the tenacity of New England, but then again, it didn't surprise me, the two people who won the game for them yesterday was Drew Bledsoe (Washington State Cougars) who had an oustanding offensive game for NE and Lawyer                         Milloy (University of Washington Huskies) sealed the game with an interception with 1:41 to go.

So, I have to go with Washinton state, er New England for the Super bowl, since I'm not betting money! :)

You can tell this man does not live in NE :-P

Troy Brown put forth an outstanding effort - 1 punt return for a TD, then a very unselfish lateral to Smith on the blocked FG for a 2nd TD

Bledsoe came in, proved himself on the 1st series by picking up where Brady left off (in the red zone nevertheless I believe?) and throwing a pass to a wide open patten. Fine..

Where'd he go in the 3rd quarter? That was the Bledsoe all us NE fans know. Folds under pressure and under his own ego.

Brady is confident and unselfish and knows how to GET RID of the ball. Bledsoe just thinks about his 100mil contract. Brady is what got them here and they'd damn well better use him against the Rams.

Ah.. the superbowl will be a letdown after the Pittsburg/NE game.

It was worth it just to see the "ultimate quarterback" show his worth.  Mr. Stewart is great, but when it comes to actually throwing the ball on target in clutch situations... there's about 20 quarterbacks in the league that do it better.

Getting out of trouble and gaining yards on the ground is his forte'... I cringe when he noodles back that arm.

Like I said, if I was to bet, I'd take the Rams.  I don't bet on Superbowls because as soon as I do, my 12-1 record for picking the winner will go right out the door.

My "pick" is the Rams. But I will rout on New England since they're the underdog!

The bet isn't whether or not the Rams win, the bet is how many offensive records they'll break. The "Super" Bowl hasn't been very super lately :(

I'll be cheering for the Pats, but realistically I don't think they stand a chance.

Go NE!!

Can't root for Faulk, er I mean the Rams. It was because of him I lost the Fantasy Football SuperBowl and >$200 diff from 1st to 2nd place :)

Anyone know if FOX is shooting the game with HDTV cameras for their digital feeds? Anyone know what format they are broadcasting at?

What are people betting on Fox's "Last Year's Pokemon vs This Year's Pokemon Characters" pre-superbowl superbowl?  Terry Bradshaw is hosting it... it should be really neet.

Brady is a nancyboy!!!

If he ever flew Aces High, he'd probably fly a P-51!!!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.
